Every great customer experience begins with a store that is clean, organized, welcoming, and ready for the day.
Store Support Associates help maintain our self-service dog wash facilities, stock merchandise, receive deliveries, complete laundry, organize backstock, and perform general cleaning tasks. Their work allows our customer-facing team members to spend more time helping Austin pet families.
Your Mission
Keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and customer-ready throughout every shift.
What You’ll Do
Your work will support the dog wash, sales floor, stockroom, and broader store team.
Dog Wash Operations
- Clean and sanitize self-service dog wash stations between customers.
- Restock shampoos, towels, and dog wash supplies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dog wash area.
- Perform laundry duties and maintain towel inventory.
- Assist customers with basic questions about dog wash operation.
Store Appearance
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and perform general store cleaning.
- Empty trash and recycling containers.
- Clean restrooms, windows, fixtures, and common areas.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and their pets.
Inventory and Receiving
- Receive and unload shipments.
- Stock shelves and replenish merchandise throughout the store.
- Organize backstock.
- Maintain orderly storage areas.
Team Support
- Support store staff with operational tasks as needed.
- Work independently and remain productive throughout each shift.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.

Previous retail experience is helpful but not required.
Paid Training
You do not need previous pet-industry experience. We will teach you the procedures and standards required for the role.
Work Schedule
Our stores are open seven days a week and most holidays. Flexibility and dependable availability are important.
- Afternoon and evening shifts
- Tuesday and Wednesday receiving shifts
- Saturday and Sunday shifts
- Holiday shifts as required
Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Physical Requirements
This is an active position involving cleaning, stocking, receiving, and movement throughout the store.
✓ Stand and walk for extended periods.
✓ Bend, kneel, squat, reach, and climb ladders.
✓ Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
✓ Perform repetitive cleaning and stocking tasks.
✓ Work around water, pet hair, cleaning products, and occasional messes.
✓ Safely navigate wet surfaces and busy retail environments.
What This Position Does Not Include
The Store Support Associate is an operational support role and is not responsible for:
- Sales transactions
- Cash reconciliation
- Inventory counting or adjustments
- Product or supply ordering
- Customer complaint resolution beyond basic service recovery
